Love is a Well-Stocked Pantry

Kitchen Tips August 6, 2007

I have fond memories of the Pyrex diningware, popular back in the 80s, that my mother used to serve up her mean home-cooked dishes.

I remember lifting the dishes to stare up at the leftover grain of rice, simply fascinated.

By the early 90s, my mother had replaced our retro diningware to spanking new Corningware. As we all know, these things last FOREVER. In fact, I think Mum has still got them. As for my retro dish, Mum threw them out, never knowing the pleasures it brought to us, and the nostalgic sentiments it stirs in me today.

If I could turn back time, I would have clung onto them for my dear life.

Kitchenery’s kitchen tips can’t turn back the clock, but it can definitely help you keep them in “mint” condition, for generations to come.

    Good luck.
